Glen Charter is a traditionally trained Master Thatcher, who has been thatching since 1988 and has successfully run his own business since 1996. Thatching, as a craft, takes many years to master, and as such, Glen’s 32 years of experience in the industry have equipped him to provide the highest quality service. He has thatched all over the United Kingdom, and has even thatched property’s in America, China, Italy and France. One of his more noteworthy projects was his contribution to the thatching of the Globe Theatre, London in 1996.
Glen takes great pride in his work, and as such he ensures that all of his jobs are carried out to the highest standard, and with care to ensure that his customers are always left satisfied. Due to the quality of his work, Glen has built a strong reputation with commercial and domestic customers throughout Kent and the surrounding areas. Over the years Glen has trained many aspiring thatcher’s, and his most recent apprentice is Richard Seamen, 21, who has been with Glen for 3 years now.
Glen Charter Master Thatcher’s covers the Kent area, and he provides a range of services to suit the needs of a wide variety of clients.
Glen is also regularly accompanied by his trusted companion Red, his border collie, when customers permit.
